Who is dog massage for?

Animals need body care in the same way as humans. Especially those suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, sports dogs and those recovering from trauma benefit a lot from regular massage. However, others can also get muscle cramps, and the owner might not even notice them. So everyone is welcome to the treatment and will certainly benefit from it. I also like to massage cats. â€‹

Fascia treatment

Fascia refers to the thin multi-layered membrane that surrounds different parts of the body, such as muscles, bones and organs. They therefore support the functioning of the whole body. When fascia are healthy, they are flexible and soft, which allows for effortless movement. However, they can dry out and tighten. Unhealthy fascias cause pain, but luckily they can be treated with treatment.

Many ailments can be treated with fascia manipulation, because it can affect not only the muscles but also other body parts. The treatment is often suitable even for animals that do not enjoy a traditional massage.

Effects of massage

Massage has many positive effects that improve the quality of life and well-being. Among other things, it speeds up metabolism and waste removal, relaxes muscles and mind, and improves recovery from stress. This also reduces the risk of injury.

Home visit or coming to the reception?

Which should you choose, a massage at the reception or a home visit? For some dogs, both options work equally well, so the owner is free to choose the one they prefer. For other dogs, however, one option is better than the other. For example, if the dog is suspicious of strangers in its home, it is probably better to come to the reception. At the reception there is also no possible noise and stimuli from home. If, on the other hand, strange places with other dogs' smells and possible sounds make it difficult to relax, you should choose a home visit.

However, you shouldn't think too much about the choice. If after the first time there is a doubt that another option would be better, an appointment can be booked at a different place for the second time. However, once the best option is found, it is often best to stick with it. With time, the dog learns to associate a certain place with a massage, which can help it get into the right state of mind. On the other hand, after several times it becomes easier to calm down anyway, when the situation becomes familiar.
